Position Overview:

Kuder is seeking a Software Developer who is responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining the user interfaces, integrations, and backend code to support all of Kuder’s applications. In addition, the Software Developer will design & implement solutions that reflect our clients’ brands as well as supports ongoing development of our products and services. This position provides timely, accurate and quality code design and construction for Kuder products. This position should have a good understanding about the education industry – specific focus on career planning theory, counseling, and management.

Essential Job Functions:

• Full stack developer – specific focus on back-end development.
• Maintain existing applications including the addition of new features. This includes existing and new client customizations on existing and new applications.
• Collaborate with full development team to coordinate own work with others.
• Lead & implement development efforts associated with creating, reading, updating, and deleting database fields, rows, tables (or other data repositories).
• Work with Product and Development teams to determine technical and UI design for new features and projects.
• Complete development work with high quality and in an agreed upon timeframe.
• Support product development efforts by maintaining back-end code and data.
• Support product development efforts by creating user-friendly design elements and updating user content on existing applications.
• Participate in the concept, development, and design (technical and/or UI) of future and existing global platforms and applications.
• Available to provide production support on a rotation basis.
• Maintain understanding of current web technologies through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.
• Complete business training to expand knowledge within the career development, education, & career advising industry.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development or related major, or equivalent job experience
• 3+ years IT Development experience
  • 2+ years of experience with full stack development
  • 1+ years of experience with web development
• Solid understanding of UX/UI designs
• Experience working with on-premise and cloud platforms – Azure preferred
• 2+ years of experience working with Vendor products; integrations, security standards, & required updates (for example communicating via REST API services)
• Experience working with the following technologies
  • .Net / .Net core
  • C#
  • SQL/ Stored Procedures
  • JavaScript libraries, such as React, Angularjs, Vue.js, jQuery, Bootstrap, Typescript
• Experience with a web UI Framework
  • Experience with Carbon Design System (IBM) is a plus
• MVC / MVP design patterns. Must understand Object Oriented design principals
• Must understand relational databases
• Must have experience working with DevOps
• Experience with unit testing, system integration testing & regression testing
• Experience working in an Agile development environment; continuous integration & continuous deployment
• Experience working both independently and, in a team, oriented, collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
