POSITION SUMMARY
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test with strong automation skills to take a role in AXA Partners CLP IT organisation. Opportunity to on-board new applications to CLP IT and to progress our Agile/DevOps mission, working with cross functional teams in multiple locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain functional peer relationships and participate in continuous process improvement activities and support quality initiatives
- Have a continuous desire and drive to learn new and better ways, fail fast, try things, grow and learn, be a technology hunter and teach others around you
- Able to create test plan/strategies for automated tests, paying particular attention to automation ROI calculations
- Have an excellent knowledge of the software architecture within projects
- Liaise with project teams and Business Analysts to understand needs, and the highest level of system requirements of users, Management and other stakeholders
- Responsible for creation and implementation of test plans, cases and scripts to ensure the Applications are thoroughly tested
- Execute test cases through appropriate test case management tools (eg Adaptavist Test Manager)
- Report test results and regular updates of the testing progress to key stakeholders (using IEE829 standards)
- Engage with all stakeholders to identify and mitigate against risk and prioritise testing activities across functions and squads
- Continuously identify and suggest process improvement initiatives
- Responsible for maintaining all documentation relating to test activities
- Provide support for the implementation of new/changed systems to ensure outputs are delivered to time and quality
- Define, maintain and demonstrate a strong knowledge about our IT systems, organisation and business processes
- Able to create/maintain/support an automation framework in order to create a test environment for current and upcoming projects
- Estimate test accurately and coordinate with team members for work activities.
- Record test results and report and verify software bug fixes to accept automation criteria
- Work with wider AXA France groups for knowledge transfer
- Design/Build/Support IT solutions
- Solves complex problems, takes a new perspective on existing solutions and works independently with minimal guidance.
- Work with other technical teams – Solutions Architects/BAs/Testers/PMs/Networks/Data Center/Change Control etc…
- Deliver measurable, quality solutions – to functional & non-functional requirements
- Add value in all stages of project/support work (definition, development, deployment)
- Key contributor to our Agile/DevOps journey

Your Profile
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Technical/ Functional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 5+ years in software testing with strong automation exposure delivering enterprise solutions preferred.
- Strong programming and debugging skills in Java, .NET, Python etc, including experience with test automation tools and libraries such as UFT, Selenium, Java, TestNG, and JMeter, IDE e.g. Intellij
- Exposure to Cucumber & Gherkin
- Extensive exposure to API experience and associated toolsets e.g. postman, ready API, Swagger etc
- Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience testing web applications constructed using modern frameworks and related technologies
- Experience with load/performance testing (jmeter / Loadrunner) an advantage
- Technology Hunter mindset
- DevOps or Agile experience
- Excellent collaborator with high focus on the “Team” dynamic
- Be a genuine team player with a focus on continuous improvement, coaching, mentoring, training yourself and others
- Excellent communicator, fluent in English, good collaborator
Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience
- BSc Computer Science or similar experience
- Agile certification is a benefit (not required)
