Job Summary
Alma is seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer with strong programming skills and experience with a variety of processes and automation technologies to develop and expand the QA coverage across our applications. The ideal candidate can work independently, while performing as part of a team of both QA and DevOps Engineers.
Responsibilities

Working with Product Development and Engineering to ensure on-time, high-quality releases.

Define test coverage, develop test plans, create and maintain test cases, execute functional and performance tests, and evaluate and report on the quality of existing technologies and new features in our rapidly-evolving technology ecosystem.

Assisting in test case development for Engineering Unit and API testing.

Participate in project planning, reporting status, and risk analysis and mitigation.
Qualifications
-
BS in computer science or equivalent.
-
5+ years of software QA experience (automated and manual) in complex, high-paced, Agile environments.

Demonstrable experience with PHP, JavaScript, and Bash.

Strong test automation skills and demonstrable experience with tools such as WebDriver, Selenium (preferred), PHPUnit, and Codeception or similar framework.

Hands-on experience authoring and executing test plans.

Understanding of software and data security testing resources and techniques.

Experience with integrated issue tracking and version control solutions, JIRA and Git (Bitbucket) preferred.

Experience with Linux operating systems, specifically Ubuntu.

Experience with virtual machine technologies including VirtualBox and Vagrant.

Experience in distributed SaaS application development.

Experience setting up and maintaining CI tools and frameworks such as Jenkins.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to rapidly develop thoughtful solutions.

Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment.
