Rebound is the largest orthopedic and neurosurgical practice in the Portland-Vancouver area with an array of sub-specialties including orthopedics, brain and spine care, sports medicine, physiatry, and physical therapy. We are looking for a full time Staff Development Specialist to to join our wonderful team. The Staff Development Specialist will be responsible for training new hires and maintaining competency of clinical staff.
Responsibilities: :
- Support an environment that reinforces Rebound’s mission and Core Values of Superior
- Oversee and track all required in person and online trainings for employees including, but not
- Manage online training software (Litmos).
- Provide oversight and training for all clinical staff roles in each location.
- Ensure new employees have received proper instructions in how to use various electronic
- Oversight and review of various clinic procedures and protocols including, injection
- Create, oversee and manage new hire training programs to ensure all new hires are trained on
- Assess and identify the training needs of staff based on clinic or department needs
- Develop and update training material as dictated by changes in regulations and/or programs
- Work with QA, Human Resources, and key stakeholders with the development of new or
- Comfortable training in group or individual settings with respect to diverse learning styles.
- Work with Credentialing Coordinator to ensure state and licensing required trainings are
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Attend required meetings, in-services, and trainings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- High school graduate or general education degree (GED); College or post high school
- 2+ Years Healthcare or Medical Office required; Training experience strongly preferred.
- Licensure or certification (MA, LPN, etc.) in a clinical capacity preferred.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
- Flexible with an ability to work independently and across teams effectively.
- Detailed oriented with an ability to maintain a high level of organization, manage time and meet deadlines.
- Ability to apply written guidelines and standardized work practices.
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and high degree of professionalism with patients, providers and coworkers.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to drive between campuses and work occasional evenings.
