The CDE (Cloud and Datacenter Equipment) BU is seeking a highly motivated and talented Staff Verification Engineer to provide support to ACA (Automotive Communications and Aerospace) Group located at ADI’s design centers in Dublin (Republic of Ireland) and Catania (Italy). You will join a growing team of experienced analog, digital, layout and test engineers. You will own the verification of entire mixed signal chips and will make sure we deliver the highest quality products alongside your colleagues.
In CDE the Staff Verification Engineer’s role defines and secures the quality of the industry-leading mixed-signal devices we produce. You will be the gate keeper of the design quality and will own the task of verifying and validating the project meets the defined specifications. As a member of our mixed-signal team you will be responsible for developing sophisticated verification strategies for ADI’s Cloud and Datacenter power conversion chips. Together we will shape the future of intelligent data center power.
As a Staff Verification Engineer in the CDE BU you will take a lead role in the verification team for both digital and mixed signal verification (DMS/AMS) of our datacenter power solutions.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Participate in architecture definition and modelling
- Contribute to micro-architecture definition and reviews
- Review specs and incorporate changes and standards into the verification plan to ensure compliance
- Define the verification strategy on multiple levels of the architecture
- Drive the block/system/chip level test plan development and execution
- Work with designers and architects to produce a high quality verified and robust IP
- Oversee functional and code coverage closure
- Actively participate in silicon bring up, validation and compliance testing
- Participate across teams and functions to ensure on time, high quality, and successful product delivery
- Mentor junior engineers
- Be a technical guide for the more junior engineers
Minimum qualifications
- MSEE +7 years of experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.
- Digital and/or Mixed Signal IC verification experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong general coding, object-oriented programming, and documentation skills.
- Proficient in System Verilog, UVM, C, Perl, Python
- General experience with Linux
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art verification techniques
Preferred qualifications
- Proven track record of taking designs from definition to production
- Experience in ASIC and/or FPGA verification
- Good understanding of ASIC design and verification methodologies

- Testbench creation
- Code coverage
- Functional coverage
- Directed and constrained random stimulus generation
- Assertion based verification
- System Verilog (UVM)
- Experience in OOP development of reusable testbenches
- Experience with constrained-random verification methodology
- Good problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, shell
- General experience with Linux
- Experience with Cadence/Synopsys toolchain
- Working knowledge of gate-level simulation sand power aware simulation.
