Key Responsibilities

Working as a Midwife as part of Access Nursing, your main responsibility will be providing full antenatal care. As part of this responsibility you will be required to perform a number of duties such as:

• Care and monitor the condition of a mother during the postnatal period while providing all necessary advice
• Carrying out treatments which have been prescribed by a doctor
• Maintain all necessary records
• Care and assist the mother during labour
• Provide relevant and expert information and advice.

Essential requirements

• Having a proven track record of working as part of a midwife for a minimum of 1 year
• NMBI Pin
• Patient Manual Handling, CPR and HSE Land courses up to date

• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility, fast thinking and the ability to multitask
• Maintaining a cool and calm demeanour during potential emergencies
• Adaptability, fast thinking and attention to detail
