Eastern State Hospital (ESH), located in scenic Williamsburg, Virginia was founded with a well-intentional emphasis on community focused mental health care. This state of the art campus, situated on 500 acres, consists of two patient care buildings with 300 patients, and a highly skilled staff of over 900. Eastern State Hospital is part of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) system, and is accredited by the Joint Commission.

Eastern State Hospital welcomes qualified applicants for the position of Store and Warehouse Specialist III.

The selected incumbent for this position will maintain inventory records; receive, store and issue a wide variety of materials, supplies and equipment.

Multiple positions may be hired from this posting.

Minimum Qualifications

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Working knowledge of warehouse/store/inventory practices and procedures, record keeping and inventory control systems.

Experience in performing the following, mathematical calculations, operate office computer equipment, ability to type, data entry, monitoring of inventory control.

Possess mechanical skills to operate recycling and warehouse equipment.

Ability to work independently; follow verbal/written instructions and maintain accurate records.

Advanced level experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.

Possess mechanical skills to operate mechanical warehouse equipment.

Must have the ability to be certified on the forklift within six months of employment & re certify for forklift training every other year.

Experience using a computer, office equipment (fax, copier, scanner, etc.) to maintain records.

Experience developing files & maintaining a filing system.

Experience in effectively leading a team of staff with supervision.

Experience communicating with staff regarding job expectations, job training & work schedule locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework in accounting.

Experience utilizing various computer software programs.

Experience in inventory tracking systems.

These positions are hourly/wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
