What’s the job?

The Storeroom Buyer is accountable for effectively managing procurement of the Storeroom MRO inventory and the externally contracted maintenance services and miscellaneous supplies. Maintain robust purchasing process, establish, and manage vendor relationships, drive optimization projects, and deliver improvements to the procurement efficiency and competitiveness of the Storeroom activities. Develop and implement tactical plans for cost-saving and perform root cause analysis to eliminate pricing inaccuracies and part duplication. Participate in the annual MRO Storeroom inventory.

This position reports to the Purchasing Manager.

What do you bring?

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred or a two (2) year Associate’s degree.
• 2-3 years of procurement experience, preferably in a high-paced working environment.
• Preferred experience using ERP system (SAP), MRP, ARIBA/AGORA, high degree of proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated experience with negotiation skills and the ability to exercise good judgment in dealing with vendors and colleagues.
• Strong ability to collaborate with all plant departments, initiate positive change, work with a high degree of accountability, develop oneself and others and deliver high quality results.
