The Senior Strategy Consultant is a critical member of the Jefferson Enterprise Strategy team, which provides routine and on-demand strategic analytics, intelligence, and guidance to support informed, sound business decisions. Jefferson Enterprise Strategy is the entity primarily accountable for managing and facilitating the annual enterprise-wide strategic-financial planning process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

The Senior Strategy Consultant is expected to meaningfully contribute to multiple projects concurrently, including managing the work of analysts and consultants on select projects. He/she is responsible for conducting analyses and validating accuracy of results, translating findings into strategic conclusions, and creating client-ready strategy deliverables with limited oversight. The Senior Strategy Consultant routinely interacts with clients and key organizational stakeholders, including effective presentation of strategy deliverables and facilitation of working groups for the purpose of developing strategic and/or business plans.

The Senior Strategy Consultant is crucial to successful execution of the enterprise-wide strategic planning process, including overseeing scheduling and logistics, creating assessments to support strategy development, developing meeting agendas and materials, and supporting plan facilitation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
  • Appropriately engages with all level organizational stakeholders, maintaining the utmost confidentiality on sensitive projects
  • Independently manages his/her own workload, including proactive reprioritization and time management
  • Manages and reviews/provides feedback on project work of interns, analysts, and consultants on certain projects
  • Develops high quality, on-time, client-ready deliverables on multiple (3+) projects concurrently with limited oversight
  • Distills and documents the strategic implications of data and analytic findings with limited oversight
  • Significantly supports the enterprise ISFP process (as described above)
  • Organizes inputs, facilitates stakeholder discussions, and drafts comprehensive narrative business plans with VP/SVP oversight
  • Organizes, leads and documents outputs of routine internal team meetings, and coordinates recruitment and oversight of the Jefferson Strategy intern program
  • Builds credibility as a capable, reliable strategic resource with multiple senior organizational leaders

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree with business or health care focus and 3-5 years of experience in a health care planning function with a hospital/health system or as a consultant, OR
  • MBA or MHA/MHSA degree with at least 2 years of experience in a health care planning function with a hospital/health system or as a consultant
