I. JOB SUMMARY: This full-time position responsible for conducting weekly quality control inspections of rest areas provided at sites in Benton County and supervises staff at the Benton Co locations.

II. POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Rest area staff at sites in Benton County.

III. WORK ACTIVITIES:

Ø Actively support the mission, vision, and values of Easter Seals Tennessee

Ø Conduct weekly quality control inspections of each contract site to ensure the terms are met and high standards of cleanliness are maintained

Ø Responsible for completion and submission of weekly inspection reports for each site

Ø Maintain open communication with each site’s POC and address all reported issues in a timely and effective manner

Ø Coordinate supply orders for each site

Ø Coordinate with each site’s POC to schedule extended hours for stripping, waxing and carpet cleaning

Ø Transfer equipment from one site to another as needed

Ø Responsible for use of agency vehicle, including maintaining and submitting gas receipts, mileage logs and inspections forms on a monthly basis

Ø Provide training to all newly hired direct reports (or delegate to site lead)

Ø Participate in the interviewing and hiring process of staff

Ø Maintain and submit employee paperwork, including but not limited to sign in logs, time off requests, absence reports, time sheets, and Corrective Action Reports for direct reports

Ø Coordinate schedules and coverage for time off requests and call outs along with site supervision

Ø Provide shift coverage when necessary, to include performing the following tasks:

¨ Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms

¨ Cleaning, mopping, washing and vacuuming floors

¨ Emptying trash receptacles and taking trash to dumpster

¨ Maintaining outside areas around entrances to offices

¨ Cleaning and polishing fixtures as necessary and/or directed

¨ Cleaning windows as necessary

¨ Dusting furniture as necessary

Ø All other duties as assigned

IV. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø Ability to follow instructions of supervisor

Ø Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisor and site POCs

Ø 1 year of supervisory experience

Ø 1 year experience in janitorial quality control

V. JOB CONTEXT:

The Rest Area Supervisor will spend the majority of his/her time inspecting buildings and office areas and assisting with maintaining the rest areas. Portions of time will also be spent traveling to each of the sites and inspecting maintenance of grounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Physical demands include, but are not limited to, occasional lifting and moving up to 50 pounds. Occasionally reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing/walking. The employee is expected to practice principles of good body mechanics in performing the physical components of the job. The employee will be exposed to cleaning agents and may be subject to interruptions and irregular hours.
