Position Summary:

Technical Quality Supervisor is a cross-functional position that meets at the intersection of quality assurance, engineering, and manufacturing operations. This role will be a key contact for customers as it relates to complaints and warranty processes. Candidate must have a strong technical background with direct experience with medical devices as well as a personable temperament.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Main contact for customers for complaints. Will communicate via email and phone regarding customer issues, including complaint identification, additional information required, return request and complaint closure.
  • Work cross-departmentally to investigate true root cause of product failures and assist in documenting accordingly.
  • Facilitate with the customer timely returns of potentially non-conforming product and products under warranty (calibration activities). Issuing RMA numbers, receiving the RMA physically and electronically, identifying credit needs and returning product to customer as required.
  • Schedule all activities associated with the Servicing Department. Control employee schedules, over time and gap coverage to facilitate timely service schedules and expedited requests.
  • Manage associates within the Servicing Department, including HR concerns, training programs, goal and metric setting with reporting, employee engagement and reviews, with the support of the Quality Manager.
  • Perform warranty requests, calibration activities and investigations as it relates to customer RMAs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • 5+ years' experience working withing ISO 13485 and 21 CFR Part 820 quality systems.
  • Knowledge of precision machining production processes, quality control, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Ability to effectively coach, mentor and lead a range of manufacturing processes and teams.
  • Ability to understand the technical attributes of a wide range of precision, mechanical products.
  • Computer literate in various software applications including Microsoft Office. Experience with eTQ a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in multi-discipline, cross cultural environment, and levels of organization.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as autonomously.
  • Capable of handling stressful situations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and engineering/CAD drawings.
  • Maintain sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to effectively manager projects
