Terminal Operator- St. Louis, MO
This is a full-time, hourly position.
Position Summary:

• ADM is seeking a Terminal Operator assist and fill in for Tankerman at our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) location in St. Louis, MO

Job Responsibilities
Willingness to learn to Load or offload any ARTCO Tank Barge or fuel towboat, loading or offloading includes the following tasks:

• Pre-transfer inspection
• Pre-transfer conference and execution of the declaration of inspection
• Connect cargo hoses or loading arms
• Line-up cargo system
• Start of liquid flow during load/fueling
• Start cargo pump and increase discharge pressure during discharge
• Monitor flow and tank level
• Top off cargo tanks during loading/fueling
• Stripping cargo tanks during discharge
• Ballasting/deballasting
• Disconnection of the cargo hoses or loading arms
• Securing of cargo system
• Pump Slop to and from TB-1 and dock tanks
• Pump Slop from dock tanks to six pack
• Complete a JSA
• Ability to effective communicate to customers

Job Functions

• Follow all safety rules
• Follow all USCG regulations and company policies
• Requires minimal supervision
• Ability to fill in for Tankerman
• Prepare dock and fuel flat for inspection with no supervision
• Ability to load and off load trucks at both North and South Terminal
• Properly complete/maintain paperwork for trucks and inventory
• Prepare fuel flat for use
• Able to travel and tanker barges/boats at outside docks
  • Display knowledge of North and South Terminal operations
    • Piping
    • Tank contents and inventory
• Communicate with boat and landside personnel coordinating operations
• Maintain proper housekeeping on facilities
• Ability to lead a weekly safety meeting
• Know emergency response and security procedures
  • Able to work overtime and weekends
  • Be able to identify all parts of a tank barge
  • Know how to use required PPE

Technical Proficiencies

• HAZMAT certification
• Maintain valid drivers license
• Maintain USCG Tankerman PIC (barge) license and MMD
• Shipyard Competent Person
