At least 6 months of Thermal, Plasma, or Laser cutting experience in a sheet metal fabrication setting is appreciated/preferred. However, we are willing to train the best, most reliable fit for this position; first as a grinder, then as a laser operator. All you need is the resolve to work hard, learn and grow. Requirements:

At least 6 months of Thermal, Plasma, or Laser Cutting experience in a sheet metal fabrication setting. On occasion, you will also need to lift up to 50 lbs.

Thermal Cutting Technician Responsibilities Include:

Operating a laser, Oxy, or plasma table along with using an overhead crane and/or forklift to load, prepare equipment for cutting, and remove after cutting. You will also measure, cut, and prepare material for shipping, download/program computers according to customer specifications, complete inspection reports, perform preventative maintenance and complete all assigned duties according to safety policies and practices. This includes always wearing applicable personal protective equipment.

Pay: $19.36/hr

Multiple shift options are available to meet the work/life balance needs of you and your family. Choose from the follow:

• 2nd shift working Mon - Fri 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• Weekend Day shift working Fri - Sun 7:00am - 7:00pm
• Weekend Night shift working Fri - Sun 7:00pm - 7:00am

If training is required, it may be conducted on 1st shift from 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday to Thursday. This position is temp to hire with lots of opportunities for professional/personal growth.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions may consist of loud noises, vibratory tools, repetitive motions, airborne particles such as metal dust and chips, and exposure to chemicals, fumes, and bright lights. Physical requirements include continual standing, walking, lifting, twisting with periodic bending, climbing, stooping, crawling, and crouching.
