Piedmont Composites & Tooling is growing! PCT is a company that basis itself on standards, a strong work ethic and making sure the customer is happy. Our products are highly diversified, and we are seeking a tooling manager to help bring our tooling division to the next level. This position will manage a small team of people and reports directly to the owner. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills, strong work ethic, excellent character, 5yrs minimum of tooling knowledge in fiberglass and proven managerial ability. PCT is searching for the right person to add to its already strong management team.
This job has a competitive salary and benefits. The plant operates four days per week from 6am-4:30pm and closes for the week of the 4th of July and the days between Christmas Eve and New Year.
Job Requirements:
- Strong character; work closely with employees and other management; solid work ethic
- Detail-oriented, able to plan, think independently
- High standards & an eye for quality
- Ability to train and manage employees to complete a variety of concurrent manufacturing tasks
- Tooling capabilities
- Construct plugs & molds for and from fiberglass using best practices
- Estimating build requirements for new projects
- Splash layups
- Mold repair
- Mold maintenance
- Input on quoting for new projects

Additional Requirements:
- Be proficient with email, Microsoft Office, read CAD drawings, Spreadsheets etc.
- Pass a drug test and background check
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to work on your feet
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, push molds and do what is necessary in the art of building tooling
