Truck Equipment Installer- 1st Shift
Are you looking for a new & exciting opportunity in a fast paced manufacturing environment?
Summary:
Lays out, fits, installs, and repairs truck equipment components by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Has ability to place large truck equipment components in place to requirements, verify conformance
  • Has ability to read job orders, job specifications, and lay outs to plan work procedures.
  • Operates shop machines
  • Installs units (welding, electrical, bolts, hydraulics) in all positions (i.e. under dash, under frame or in box of truck) to requirements per blueprint or work orders
  • Ability to drive commercial vehicles in and out of the shop and test drive when needed.
  • Reports unresolved non-conformances to supervision.
  • Modifies equipment, attachments, hydraulic systems, shields or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings
  • Trouble shoots for repairs
  • Performs function test when finished
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to calmly deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills
