Your responsibilities include overseeing Barclays’ response to new regulations affecting the firm, managing risk and challenges, and identifying opportunities arising from regulatory change. Salary / Rate Minimum: $250,750
Salary / Rate Maximum: $310,250

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. What will you be doing?

• Working with stakeholders across the group to develop integrated global regulatory strategies
• Monitoring legal and regulatory developments in multiple jurisdictions and anticipating and assessing impact on Barclays’ core businesses
• Reviewing, analyzing, and explaining new regulatory developments to senior management and advising on implementation of new guidelines, practices, and policies across the firm
• Engaging with regulatory process and advocacy as needed, including through drafting & submitting comments on new regulatory proposals
• Participating in meetings with the regulators
• Staying up to date on industry trends, innovations, new technologies and service providers as they relate to Barclays’ business and regulatory strategy
• Taking part in industry association committees and working groups
• Managing and escalating effectively legal and regulatory risks identified with respect to new regulatory proposals and implementation programs

What we’re looking for:

• Over five years of experience at a nationally recognized law firm and/or in-house at a financial institution
• J.D. or equivalent degree and New York State bar admission

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
