Ballina Beverages is a state of the art manufaturing plant based in Ballina, Co. Mayo and is part of The Coca-Cola Business system. We are currently seeking applications for the position of Warehouse Team Member.
Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Manager, the overall objective of this position will be to perform a wide variety of tasks in the overall operation of the Warehouse. These tasks will be in the materials handling, receiving, shipping, areas and will require a high level of computer literacy and physical effort. This position involves shift work therefore flexibility is required.
What you’ll do for us:
- Safety – Compliance to health and safety procedures
- Quality – Compliance to quality standards in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Materials handling – Movement of raw materials and finished goods, fork truck driving, bulk tanker unloading, cycle counting, inventory control, receiving and shipping.
- Receiving – unloading, inspecting, receiving, sampling and locating all ingredients, packaging and finished product that arrives at the plant
- Production support – ensuring continuous supply of ingredients and packaging to production and filling lines: support shipping and receiving.
- Shipping – Inspecting, counting and loading outbound shipments, completing all paperwork, preparing shipment samples, bracing loads. Coordination & execution of shipping desk tasks as required.
- Mixed Pick – Working in a fast-paced environment to assemble shipments in manual area in advance of shipping - driving robots to ensure equipment in maximised to full potential.
- Relabelling - including any other warehouse ad hoc tasks.
- Operational Excellence - Support the Operational Excellence Programme and continuous improvement culture in Ballina Beverages.
- Digitalization – Support the design of Plant of the Future solutions and recommendations.
- Documentation – Accurate completion of all necessary documentation. Ensure compliance to all documented procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements as outlined in the company procedures.
Educational/Professional Experience:
- Leaving Certificate or an equivalent qualification recognized by the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland essential.
- Minimum of 1 year experience driving counterbalance Fork-Lift Truck driving essential.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume Warehouse environment preferable.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Demonstrated experienced working with automated material handling equipment, including conveyors, robots desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to use warehouse management systems desirable.
- Demonstrated aptitude for computers and computer literacy with an aptitude to develop further computer skills - working knowledge of SAP System desirable.
- Organised, methodical, tidy and the ability to work in a controlled and structured way.
- Apply operational excellence tools and techniques to continuously improve our processes and eliminate waste.
- Availability to work shift is essential.
