Water / Wastewater Plant Operator (TCEQ "B" or "C" License required)
Job description
We are seeking a Water / Wastewater Plant Operator (TCEQ "B" or "C" License) to join our team! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Duties include, but not limited to, the following:
- Oversee and coordinate plant operations and activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the plant
- Log and record readings for equipment and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED (required)
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
- Surface Water Treatment experience (if holding a water license)
- Wastewater Treatment experience (if holding a water license)
- current Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Grade "B" or "C" water license (If holding "C" water license, then need to work towards attainment of "B" water license)
- current Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Grade "B" or "C" wastewater license (If holding "C" wastewater license, then need to work towards attainment of "B" wastewater license)
- Previous experience in plant operations or other related fields
- Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
- Ability to read, follow directions and complete basic reports
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle physical workload, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this include close vision.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills are required in order to effectively present information to management.
- Work schedule is from Monday to Friday and be willing to work on the weekends, holidays and also to be on-call.

Pay: $33,000.00 - $40,300.00 per year
