The Electronics and Sensors Division (ESD) is a world-class engineering and scientific leader in electronics and remote sensing systems. The Electronics and Power Systems Department (EPSD), is an organization within ESD. Our staff includes subject matter experts across a broad range of disciplines including Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, Analog Circuit Design and Simulation, and Space rated DC Power Systems. Our expertise, combined with sophisticated in-house laboratories, includes hardware prototyping, circuit modeling and simulation, and Power Systems level modeling and simulation. The collective expertise and resources enable EPSD to deliver innovative solutions to national space systems and civil customers.

Work Model:
This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, Ca

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Perform electrical engineering evaluations at the breadboard level utilizing standard lab equipment
  • Perform circuit simulations using SABER, SIMETRIX or SPICE computer codes
  • Coordinate communication of progress of ongoing tasks and technical issues with the Engineering and Technology Group management and technical peers
  • Develop clear and concise written reports and presentations
  • Articulate presentation material concisely to management and peers
  • Participates with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners
  • Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks
  • Training and mentorship will be provided

What You Need to be Successful
  • Master’s or PhD degree from an accredited college/university program in Electrical Engineering (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months) .
  • 0-1 years of industry work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance
  • US Citizenship required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of circuit simulation and lab component/circuit characterization techniques required
  • Understanding of power and analog circuits including transistors and operational amplifiers required
  • Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to work and interact well with customers, contractors, peers, and management
  • Travel 25% or more required
