Responsibilities

1. Commitment to Maintain Client Confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

• Maintaining the privacy of the client you are working with
• Protecting our client’s personal medical information
• Maintaining case discussions within the treatment setting
• Keep identifying information about the client to yourself
• Respecting the client’s medical information and laws safeguarding it
• Any social media posts regarding client(s) are strictly prohibited and may be grounds for dismissal.
• Breach of confidentiality may result in termination

2. Maintaining Professional Relationships

3. Actively engage the client throughout the session

4. Use teaching principles and procedures based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

5. Conduct all programming as indicated by the supervising BCBA

6. Discussing Problematic Behaviors with the client’s family

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in one on one therapy with a client
• Technician assessments
• Must be able to score 3 @ 90% or above to qualify for the position
• Has worked in varying functioning levels with at least 2 clients
• Example: Has done a therapy session with a Level 1 client and a Level 3 client.
• Supervising BCBA must complete the senior technician recommendation form and submit it along with previous assessments to the Leadership Committee
• After the review of materials, BC will be interviewed for the position
