The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Anesthesia is seeking an Academic Clinical Program Management Associate to function as the Anesthesia Residency Program Coordinator - providing program leadership and management for the daily operations of the Residency Education Program and other education activities of the Department of Anesthesia.

Duties to include:

  • Plan all activities related to resident recruitment.
  • Assist with planning and implementing on and off campus recruitment activities/programs.
  • Provide administrative support for resident’s academic projects or presentations.
  • Serve as liaison between program director and residents, between program director and chief residents, between residents and faculty, and between program director and institutional GME personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation

  • Starting Salary Minimum: $39,732
  • Starting Salary Maximum: $75,151

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to manage small and large group interaction is required
  • Demonstrate careful attention to detail with great accuracy together with strong organizational skills. The ability to handle multiple projects, proactively establish priorities, and meet varying deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Desirable Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year experience coordinating or managing a graduate medical education (residency or fellowship) program.
  • Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of ACGME requirements and standards.
