Essential Functions:

  • Leading collaboration through the planning and development phase by

o Scheduling meetings, conference calls, deadlines, and agendas

o Facilitating collaboration meetings

o Documenting decisions regarding planning and development deliverables.

o Building upon knowledge about the grant and the intersection of violence and disabilities

  • Building and maintaining relationships with collaborative partners, WEAVE departments, and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring the creation, submission, and approval of key deliverables
  • Overseeing and managing the implementation phase of the project
  • Drafting and editing deliverables based on the outcomes and decisions of the collaboration
  • Preparing grant and progress reports by

o Working with grants management staff to ensure the timely entry of data by program staff and retrieving and analyzing reports

o Collecting narrative reports and anecdotal information from program staff and collaborative partners

o Writing, reviewing, and submitting reports in a timely manner

  • Providing feedback on grant progress to program managers and staff
  • Serving as liaison to the Vera Center on Victimization & Safety and the Office of Violence Against Women – Disabilities Grants Program
  • Assisting program staff with questions regarding the OVW Disabilities Grant Program
  • Attending department meetings and trainings as they relate to job duties
  • Supporting Director with systemic change capacity building and staff engagement
  • Facilitating presentations for members of community-based organizations and staff
  • As a member of WEAVE's IDEA Department, assisting with and contributing to projects and trainings that ensure WEAVE is delivering culturally responsive services to un/underserved populations.

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Human Services, Communications, Public Administration, or related field and at least two years’ experience in project management with preference for those with experience in fields providing disability services or violence prevention.
  • Excellent organization, project management and time management skills
  • In depth knowledge of accessibility and accommodations for all disabilities
  • In depth knowledge of various community-based approaches to domestic violence and sexual assault intervention, prevention and systems change work.
  • Experience in developing programs for underserved/unserved, and populations at high-risk of sexual assault survivors.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills
  • Above average analytical ability
  • Skilled, diplomatic collaborator and facilitator
  • Prior experience working with unserved and underserved communities
  • Prior experience with public speaking, community outreach and coordination of trainings required
  • Passion for leading and coordinating team efforts
  • Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, including balancing the value of both process and outcome.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office, and Outlook.
  • Valid California driver license, reliable transportation, and current proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Satisfactory completion of WEAVE’s peer counselor training program (post-hire requirement.)

Work environment is primarily a busy office setting in a two-story building with stairs and an elevator. Employees may need to move around and between floors, occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 lbs, or reach items above their head, below their waist, or stored in/on drawers and shelves. Employees may also need to remain in one position (i.e. sitting or standing) for an extended period of time while completing work tasks. Must be able to efficiently operate a keyboard and mouse or adaptive equivalent, write reports, take notes; utilize desk tools such as phones or calculators, and utilize larger office equipment such as printers and copy machines.
