Description of role and key responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibilities of the TPD and Securities financial control functions including daily P&Ls, daily capital monitoring, daily liquidity reporting
• Developing detailed understanding of products and business
• Provision of appropriate daily/monthly MIS to all business stakeholders
• P&L & BS monitoring, verification and control review
• Maintaining and further developing the overall financial control environment
• Understanding accounting and regulatory factors (eg capital) as they pertain to the business or a specific product
• Liaise with auditors for interim and year end audits
• Building strong relationships with BU and other stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Daily P&L and capital reporting
• Monthly Management and Financial Reporting, Credit & Audit Packs, and Regulatory Reporting
• Participating in ad hoc projects as required
• Developing existing processes and systems to ensure efficiency

Core Skills and Knowledge

Technical knowledge

• Part-Qualified/Recently Qualified
• Preferable 1-2 years banking or financial services experience
• Membership of an appropriate professional body e.g. ACA/ACCA
• Knowledge of capital markets and treasury instruments an advantage
• Strong technical accounting background
