Responsibilities

• Review and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls
• Perform weekly and monthly GL Account analysis
• Supervision over bookkeeping and payroll department to ensure quality data entry and training as necessary
• Oversight and modification of payroll procedures
• Assist in the preparation of monthly internal financial statements
• Analyze period changes and provide management with variance analysis
• Prepare weekly and monthly general journal entries
• Compliance with month-end closing process
• Monthly and quarterly sales tax filing, including multi-jurisdictional filings, compliance and registrations
• Assist external accountants with periodic questions and year-end review
• Assist with special projects as needed
• Direct involvement of imminent ERP integration
• Preparation/initial analysis of audit schedules
• Insurance procurement, review and analysis
• Research follow-up questions on reporting
