Job description
The Accounting clerk works under direct supervision of the accounting manager and reports to controller. His/her basic responsibilities include revenue reconciliation, responding to guest inquiries, performing month-end duties and general accounting functions.
What will I be doing?
As an Accounting Clerk, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Review and reconcile all night audit documentation including PMS, POS and other revenue sources. Prepare and complete the banquet event reconciliation and upload F&B covers.
- Collect cash drop envelopes, prepare daily deposit & deposit bags, reconcile the drop to the drop log, including completing the applicable section in the General Cashier Report (GCR)
- Distribute a summary of allowances, adjustments in the PMS or POS, duty meals and entertainment or promotional F&B charges for the approval of the Operations Leader & Finance Leader.
- Distribute the rate and rate override report to the Revenue Manager & Finance Leader on a daily basis.
- Prepare and complete weekly tips reports for Food and Beverage department.
- Process charge backs, reconciliations for hotel deposit in cash and credit cards.
- Process invoices with proper documentation based on company policies and procedures on a timely basis. Maintain record of payments and ensure vendors files are in proper order. Reconcile statements.
- Coordinate and verify receiving tickets, purchase orders and invoices for proper coding and approval signature
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
- Respond to guest inquiries, charge inquiries and request in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Assist in conducting month-end inventories
