Job description
The Accounting Specialist computes, classifies, records and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records. Must have a working knowledge of Quickbooks.
1. Review, balance and interpret computer reports and make corrections as necessary.
2. Conduct research and compile statistics and information required for grants. Create statistical and direct service reports as needed.
3. Prepare and distribute contract and grant reports in accordance with contract and grant requirements.
4. Maintain knowledge of preparation of vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, review for accuracy and perform these duties at the direction of the DO.
5. Check invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies and approve for payment.
6. Prepare payroll reports, federal tax deposits, and other tax information reports, including W-2s at the direction of the DO.
7. Code data for input to financial data processing system according to agency procedures.
8. Compile and sort documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
9. Make bank deposits and pay monthly bills.
10. Complete and submit timesheet and other paperwork in a timely manner and in
accordance with agency procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
