Accounts Payable Specialist |Auto Dealership Experience Required

Lanphere Auto Group Accounts Payable Specialist needed. Our A/P staff is responsible for handling high volumes of invoices monthly, working with GL entries and reconciliations, reconciling expense reports, and various other A/P responsibilities. This position requires you to ensure timely, accurate and consistent recording of dealership transactions. This is a traditional accounting role that manages transactional posting of dealership activities. Accounting acumen and at least one year of dealership experience required. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- One years' experience in a similar role, dealership experience required
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Attention-to-detail with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Positive attitude
- Mature responsibility to attendance and punctuality (especially during month-end)
COMPETENCIES
- CDK, bookkeeping, and dealership experience a must
- Critical thinking and effective time management
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency
- Month end closing
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Post payables invoices for five dealerships in a paperless payable environment
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Issue payments to vendors on a monthly basis
- Answers vendor inquiries
- Maintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
- Assist corporate financial officers and branch personnel as necessary
- Assist in monthly closings
- Prepare analysis of accounts, as required
- Other duties as assigned
