Great Opportunity for an accounting professional to join a small, team-oriented, busy accounting team.
Role Summary: Accountants Receivable Accountant leads the Company’s AR process and supports other accounting/business office functions. This is a professional accounting role that works within established accounting procedures and processes.
Essential Role Functions:
1. Responsible for AR transactional and management activities to include:
- Prepare customer statements, bills, and invoices;
- Posts payments to customer accounts;
- Research, resolve, and respond to internal and external customer inquiries;
- Monitor delinquent customer payments and works to bring accounts current;
- Reconcile cash receipts and deposits;
- Maintain accurate records on all customer accounts;
- Maintain AR filing;
2. Prepare, analyze, monitor, report & act on:
- Return not vouchered;
- Penalty & fine data;
- Past due aging
3. Responsible for customer creation and AR master files
4. Manage key customer AR accounts
5. Work with Ecommerce Support on key account online invoice reconciliation and payments
6. Manage Sales & Use Tax
7. Support monthly close processes
8. Manage credit card expense reconciliation for the Company
9. Provide backup support for AP
10. Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects
Qualifications: Education-Training/Experience/Capabilities/Attributes
A. Education:
- BS degree in accounting or finance. (Will consider, other education with a minimum of 4 years’ AR experience).
B. Work experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of AR experience with a BS degree, preferably in high volume manufacturing environment
- Experience using an ERP computerized accounting software.
- Experience with EDI (electronic data interchange) transactions.
- Demonstrated collections experience.
- Strong Excel skills (i.e., V-Look Up; Pivot tables, Etc.)
