Job description
- Prepares, posts, verifies and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Daily reconciliation of all sales ledger cash receipts.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely billing of company’s inter-company and external billing.
- Prepares, analyze, and records the monthly revenue journal entry out of billing system into GP Dynamics.
- Participate in company efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Assure that safeguards are in place to protect the companies’ receivables and ensure that we are PCI compliant with all modes of cash receipt.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly commission schedules.
- Reconciliation of any irregularities in receipts.
- Assist operations, sales, customer service and collection departments as needed related to billing/receipts.
- Manages collection activities for residential accounts.
- Assist in the Month-end close and year-end audit process.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ Years experience in an AR/Staff Accountant role
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Knowledge of waste industry and Great Plains/MS Dynamics a plus.
- Solid Microsoft office Skills
- Strong communication skills with an ability to work with others to accomplish goals.
- Ability to analyze information, excellent organization and time management skills.
- Accuracy & Attention to Detail
- Excellent quantitative skills
