Business Journal fourteen years in a row, is seeking an Administrative Assistant - Credit to join our
Credit Risk Management team in Novato.
In a team-oriented environment, the Administrative Assistant - Credit will assist with loan department reporting, credit management functions, information-gathering tasks, and other departmental duties as assigned in support of Credit Administration.
Essential Job Functions:
- Retrieve daily and weekly loan department report for distribution to officers (Overdrafts, Past
Due Loans, etc.).
- Retrieve various monthly loan department reports for use with Board Reports (Loan
Production, Maturing Loans, etc.)
- Generate weekly and monthly rate changes for distribution to Loan Operations and Systems
Services.
- Interact with Commercial Lending, Construction Lending, Consumer Lending, Accounting
Department, Compliance Department, etc. as needed
- ACH Processing: Receive and process new, annual review and modification requests for ACH clients.
- Audit/Loan Examination: Physically retrieve or request access to remote credit files, legal files, loan histories, etc. as needed by on-site auditors and loan examiners
- Receive and process commercial loan requests. Ensure appropriate approval signatures are obtained. Distribute approvals to commercial lender and other departments.
- Tickler Update/Covenant Compliance: Update tickler items in borrower database when received as needed. Generate and distribute monthly loan tickler reports.
- Pull credit reports when requested by the Commercial Lending group following established protocols.
Additional Requirements:
- Familiarity with Bank systems (FIS, loans, deposits, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word. Working knowledge of Microsoft Access Ability to work independently on small and medium sized loan projects Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Ability to be a team contributor as evidence by a positive attitude toward assisting others with job responsibilities as needed and treatment of co-workers in a positive and respectful manner.
- Ability to present a positive and professional appearance/demeanor to both internal and external contacts including other Bank employees, vendors, services providers, etc.
Professional / Educational Experience: 2 – 4 years related experience and/or training preferred.
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or training.

The hiring pay range for this position is $25.92 to $35.00. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
