Rugged Trade is a local work wear store focused on serving the hard-working communities of Eastern New Mexico. We are a rapidly growing, family-owned company and are looking for a part-time administrative assistant to work in our finance and purchasing department at our Carlsbad location. Our ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual with previous administrative assistant experience.


Essential Responsibilities Include:


General Administrative Duties

  • Data entry
  • Filing documents
  • Answering phones

Purchasing Clerk Duties

  • Pull inventory and sales reports for purchasing manager
  • Organize information and create spreadsheets in Excel
  • Update internal databases and platforms
  • Enter vendor orders into internal and external databases
  • Maintain purchasing spreadsheets and information


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an administrative assistant is required, preferably in a purchasing or accounting capacity.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft 365 programs.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and in writing.
