Position Summary
The State University of New York (SUNY) System Administration seeks multiple Administrative Staff Assistants to provide a broad range of professional administrative services in support of various offices. The Administrative Staff Assistant assist their office with administration, coordinator, and facilitation of the office in day-to-day operations. This may include maintaining a high-level executive’s calendar, files and electronic records, travel arrangements, scheduling and organizing meetings; preparing briefings and presentations; ensure all projects and objectives are delivered on-time and within scope and budget and working with professional and support staff. The ideal candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external constituents; have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Access); be highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and working against tight deadlines; have great attention to detail; and be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years of administration work
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional telephone etiquette
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external constituents under general direction, self-motivated, fast learner, able to handle several projects
