  • BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with sensitive and/or confidential information and documents
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and be responsive in a timely fashion
  • Take initiative and problem-solve both individually and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to interact effectively with physicians and other health care workers
  • Experience working in an academic institution, proficiency with computer systems and software, electronic calendars, and ability to assimilate new systems quickly
  • Clinical experience helpful but not necessary

The division of Pediatric Cardiology is a very busy, clinically active group. The administrative needs are varied and complex and it takes a very organized person to help manage all of the moving parts for this group. This position will be part of an administrative team supporting the needs of the Pediatric Cardiology faculty and staff. In addition, part of this role will be supporting projects and work from other divisions or Department-wide initiatives. A successful applicant will be detail oriented, able to prioritize competing demands, and able to work with a large variety of individuals and personalities. This position will be entirely on site.

  • Management of extremely busy and complicated Pediatric Cardiology clinical practice including planning, staffing, interaction with clinic managers and procedure/transplant schedulers and interdisciplinary partners within the Medical School.
  • Work with division leadership to implement and manage general operations of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology including budget, human resources, procurement, communications, compliance, outreach, student affairs and faculty affairs.
  • Participate in processes to manage and report on clinical and research responsibilities of Pediatric Cardiology leaders.
  • Field inquiries from potential patients, providers from other institutions, and philanthropic donors while professionally representing the culture and mission of the division.
  • Administrative contact responsible for facilities management of division office space, compliance with institutional safety, privacy and security policies. Manages overall office facilities and leads project to implement space and equipment changes.

  • Identify and make recommendations for administrative initiatives, processes and workflows to align with University, Medical School & Department policy and procedure, and participate in their implementation.
  • Reviews, approves and processes financial transactions and oversees financial reporting.
  • Work with administrators from the divisions, Department, Medical School and other areas of the University, UMP and Fairview.
  • Assist with ad hoc needs of the division such as reappointments, supply ordering and submitting work requests.

20%

  • Support other divisions and/or Department-wide initiatives with administrative needs including, but not limited to, oversight and planning of CV updating process, Qgenda database management, and management of other projects as they arise.

Salary Range: $50,754/yr - $73,028/yr
