Position Highlights

The School of Sociology in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) is seeking applications for an Administrative Support Assistant III (Administrative Associate). This part-time position supports the Manager of Administration, School Director, and Program Coordinator in executing the administrative operations for the School of Sociology.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provides general office support (copying, scanning, mail distribution, office supply ordering and filing.)
  • Submits facility management requests and surplus.
  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attends relevant department meetings, prepares documents and runs reports in Analytics.
  • Coordinates and assists department personnel on logistics for travel, recruitment, committee meetings, graduate student orientation, colloquium speaker visits, retreats and outreach activities.
  • Oversees multiple department calendars, scheduling meetings, and polling availabilities.
  • Maintains and updates department website, social media accounts, digital video displays and promotional materials.
  • Oversees listserv maintenance.
  • Assist Sociology Newsletter team
  • Assists with registration of undergraduate students in independent study courses
  • Assists with maintaining and updating schedule of classes.
  • Maintains student departmental files, course syllabi, teacher course evaluations, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant work experience required.
