Responsibilities:

Provides assistance, administrative and office support to the division director, superintendent and supervisors. Responsible for answering questions from the general public regarding the Water Department. Answers phones, responds effectively and courteously with associates, property owners, residents and the general public. Operates computers and auxiliary equipment with a variety of computer software applications, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint Operates other office machines, such as copiers, facsimile machine, and telephone.

Requirements:

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and have post-secondary specialized training with a minimum of three years' experience in an office support/administration position.
  • Be able to perform bending, squatting, walking, kneeling, and reaching from ground level to six feet in height and perform all required office duties.
  • Be available to work forty (40) hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with customers and City personnel by telephone and in person.
  • Ability to effectively operate personal computers, mobile devices and printers.
