Job Summary:

Responsibilities include all initial information input into computer system in relation to patient billing. Answering multi-line phone.

Job Qualifications:

  • Some college preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to learn new soft-ware programs as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with an emphasis on telephone communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Flexibility
  • Adaptability
  • Valid Driver’s License or State Identification provided upon hire
  • Demonstrate ability to relate effectively with physicians, health care professions, the community, patients/families, and members of the hospice interdisciplinary team

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, twist, and crouch.
  • Regularly required to use hands to handle and feel; and to speak and hear.
  • Exposure to dust, chemicals, and cleaning agents.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to focus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Regularly required to do standing/sitting presentations involving speaking and listening to an audience.
  • Required ability to travel by automobile.
