Odyssey is currently seeking a
Senior Aerospace Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Responsibilities:

Conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, life cycle cost, producibility, reliability and maintainability, risk and scheduling trade-off studies.- Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles.
- Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures.
- Conduct engineering reviews, studies, audits, and technical analysis.
- Support associated armament program engineering IPTs.
- Conduct and evaluate time and engineering cost estimates in support of research, development, test, training and acquisition of armament related systems.
- Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with AF SEAM processes.
Specific knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge and experience in design, development and testing of aerodynamic and structural systems.
- Knowledge and experience on wind tunnel testing and evaluation, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and modeling and simulation as it relates to weapon systems and carriage structures.
- Experience and knowledge shall include ability to formulate aerodynamic characteristics for use in trajectory simulations and to predict aero heating for thermal protection system design, experience in CFD focused on hypersonic flow, and experience in analyzing flight test data.
- Assess aerodynamic characteristics and aerodynamic heating environments for hypersonic missile systems and related components.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and eighteen (18) years of professional experience
- Undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college
