As an Airport Customer Service Representative, you will ensure a welcoming, safe, and efficient movement of airport customers including those with accessibility needs through SEA Airport while exemplifying and personifying the SEA Brand Values of Helpful, Discovery, Natural, Efficient, and Original.
- You will tend to customer needs throughout the airport including answering questions, wayfinding and navigating the airport, and other requested assistance.
- You will be a point of contact in the main terminal for internal and external stakeholders.
- You will utilize technology including Pads, phones, and 2-way radios to assist customers with the flySEA app, a language interpretation app, etc.
- You will provide communication and assistance to customers in the checkpoint lines.
- You will respond and provide guidance in emergency situations in the terminal such as medical situations, escalator outage, crowded ticket counter areas, and weather-related airport delays.
- You will assist and potentially lead evacuation and re-population of the airport in the event of a security breach.
- You will report unattended and suspicious items and activity to Port Police and Fire Department.
- Experienced – You have three (3) years’ experience in customer service.
- Educated – You possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Desired – We hope you have an Associate degree, five (5) years’ customer service experience, and/or are bilingual

- Work Schedule – Your normal work schedule will vary. This is a seven day a week and twenty-four hour a day facility. You may be required to work any and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays. You may be required to work during emergencies.
- Work Environment – You will generally work indoors while standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Washington State Residency Requirement – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
- COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement – Effective, November 15, 2021, the Port of Seattle will require that at the time of hire, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be able to provide proof of their full COVID-19 vaccination status, as part of the hiring process. This is a condition of employment for all positions at the Port of Seattle. People are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine. Prior to employment, candidates may make requests for a reasonable accommodation based on a medical disability or for sincerely held religious beliefs. - Overtime Eligible – You are eligible for overtime pay in this role.
- Safety Requirements – You will be required to comply with all work rules, safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Security Requirements – As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
