Position Description:
Summary
The Manager, IT AMS will oversee the management of our organization's applications and how they are used by the business channels. This role requires knowledge of the business channel(s) and how they utilize the applications as well as the loan origination process. Additionally, the IT AMS (Application Management Services) Manager will mentor team members who are responsible for ensuring the reliability, cost, and efficiency of our applications.
Essential Job Functions may include:
- Manage and maintain the organization's applications, ensuring their reliability, security, and efficiency.
- Lead a team of AMS Analysts, providing direction, guidance, and support as needed.
- Identify, interact and provide high level of service with internal and external customer ensuring needs are being met.
- Establish appropriate project and task management practices to ensure effective operations and delivery of desired results.
- Review and analyze monthly application scorecards for accuracy, providing coaching as needed.
- Monitor application performance and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Report across levels of leadership in and outside of IT.
- Review Major Incident communications to ensure they follow the AMS standards.
- Track and understand costs to run applications, platforms, and services.
- Learn and understand application logging.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Licensing/Certification/Registration:
This position does not require professional licensing, certification or registration.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Personal/Organizational Contacts:
Regular and substantial contact with others. Contacts usually involve discussions related to policies and programs. Handles sensitive, complex, and/or confidential information.
Customer Service Relationships:
Assesses and diffuses problem situations and requires influencing others to reach consensus. Requires tact and diplomacy to handle difficult customer relationships. Explores alternatives and creative solutions to meeting the needs of customers.
Work Complexity:
Tasks are multiple and diverse with some interrelationship across processes. Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents.
Independent Judgement/Problem Solving:
Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor. Strategic issues are referred to supervisor.
