FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt
SUMMARY: SABG is Hiring an Advanced Strategic Planning Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Huntsville, Alabama. Advanced Analysts will support Agency Executives and Senior Leaders with day-to-day mission planning. Ideal candidates will have experience in a technical field and have supported a weapon system project office, performing analysis and technical reviews for weapon system components, working independently and leading teams to solve problems. Will support the GM developmental assignment program which requires rotating assignments within several GMD divisions performing the following tasks.

  • Capable of delivering a high level of complex integration from various sources of information and records to develop historically consistent and currently relevant responses.
  • Technical and program office support background required.
  • Review and edit packages in the Task Management Tool.
  • Possess elevated understanding and experience in the Ground-based Midcourse Defense System to develop and refine PowerPoint presentations and Talking Points of sufficient maturity, with current factors considered, staffed, and presented professionally.
  • Capable of operating at a high OPTEMPO, handling several complex technical products simultaneously, and learning the various parts of the GMD program office.
  • Create and edit Weekly Reports to be used by the GM Director and senior staff.
  • Create analytical products for executives.

SUPERVISION: This position supervises a small team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Capable of providing expertise in Strategic Planning, and technical techniques and processes to support stakeholder requirements. Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced-level working knowledge, skills and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 18 years relevant experience required. A Master’s Degree with 14 years of relevant experience maybe substituted for the BA/BS.
  • Must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills to conduct planning and analysis, and trend analysis
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, interact with multiple levels of management, and be able to manage customer and contractor relationships
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Possess exceptionally strong writing skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
