Job Description
The Platforms & Data capability provides subject matter expertise and support on centralized platforms and data sources used by brand teams and marketing operation to help improve efficiency in the tactical execution of marketing programs and materials development.
The Marketing Operations & Program Management (MOPM) Team provides subject matter expertise in the processes and platforms Takeda's marketing teams use to put compliant print and digital materials in front of patients and into the hands of HCPs and Field Teams. MOPM also helps bring transparency into agency and brand teams' operational performance by using platform data for reporting and insight generation. Through its efforts, MOPM helps improve efficiency in execution and enable marketing's decision making around the operational metrics that matter most to the business.
How you will contribute:
POSITION TARGET OUTCOMES/ OBJECTIVES:
- Ensure the commercial platforms and technologies used across Takeda's brand and marketing teams are fully integrated and standardized; perform y release-management activity associated with these platforms as defined by management
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure that desired KPIs are documented, and integrated into reporting platforms
- Implement projects to develop capabilities of commercial platforms such as electronic approval system, and promotional material ordering portal
ACCOUNTABLE AREAS OF FOCUS & OVERSIGHT:
Note: "Span of focus" indicates areas that fall under the responsibility of this role. Depending on team priorities and resourcing levels, not all activities associated with span of focus will be prioritized in any given calendar year.
- Platforms & System Execution. Implement projects related to all Commercial Operations platform. Span of focus includes:
- Serve as point of contact for platform support across all commercial brand marketing teams
- Manage build the, implementation and maintenance of any commercial platforms used for US Promotional Materials or other key marketing program assets e.g., Veeva, Content Management System (CMS), promotional materials ordering
- Provide ongoing operational support for functionality and use
- Oversee all release-management associated with these platforms. Ensure effective user uptake of new releases and system upgrades, developing all necessary project plans, training, and stakeholder communication plans.
- Promote integration of existing Commercial platforms with other technologies as needed.
- Integration of Marketing Operations Data: Execute projects related to Marketing Operations data. Span of focus includes:
- Serve as subject matter expert on data model with regards to Marketing Operations platforms including electronic approval system, events management system and grant management system
- Partner with IT and Commercial Operations stakeholders to implement best practices on the management, storage of data within the framework of Takeda's enterprise data management model
- Partner with IT, external vendors and Commercial Stakeholders on extract, transform and load (ETL) project work related to Marketing Operations data
- Perform testing, validation work to ensure integrity of commercial data across Marketing Operations platforms
- Marketing Operations Analytics & Insights. Manage development/ maintenance of data visualization tools to share marketing operations KPIs (i.e. promotional materials and fulfillment etc.) Span of focus includes:
- Execute development, and validation of business/system processes
- Digital marketing support for digital asset management, approved email, and closed loop marketing.
- Develops and utilizes clear metrics that define optimal levels of functionality, sustainability and compliance to verify deliverable quality. Identifies root causes of platform success/failure and provides recommendations to improve outcome.
- Work closely with manager to develop training and distribution plan for metrics across the organization.
ADDITIONAL ROLE EXPECTATIONS
- Serve as an important business partner by establishing and maintaining strategic, collaborative working relationships and understanding across Marketing Operations' team
- Proactively recommends improvements to improve current processes and reduce cycle times within platforms.
- Collaborate with commercial and brand teams to lead, organize, and facilitate process improvements to manage digital marketing materials and digital excellence at Takeda
- Be the main business partner with IT, Commercial Operations by establishing collaborative working relationships with regards to data management best practices
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in operations, IT, or data analytics, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PPT
Desired:
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage several projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate potential conflicts to management
- Strong project manager skills: proactive, highly organized, excellent at multi-tasking, comfortable under pressure, and able to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to keep current on new production innovations and vendor capabilities and bring forward new advances and potential methods and approaches to effectively market our products
- Knowledge and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
- Results-oriented with focus on creating measurable value for brand teams
- Experience with Takeda ecosystem, able to navigate across BUs and departments
- Prior experience with dashboard reporting tools such as Qlik or Tableau
