Job Description – Asbestos Analyst 1 (Microscopist)

Perform PLM and PCM microscopy on asbestos samples. Training provided.

Perform associated prep procedures.
-
Perform related data entry and screening.
-
Participate in quality program.
-
Assist in nonconformity investigation.
-
General lab duties (cleaning, organizing, sample disposal, dishwashing, etc.) as assigned.
Required Experience, Education, Certifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required for analyst position.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
-
Previous microscopy experience, either academic or professional, strongly desired.
-
Geology degree/experience is preferred but not required.
-
Able to deal with work that can become monotonous.
-
Capable of making decisions independently with proper training and experience.

Comfortable with a production, rather than research, scientific environment.
