Job Summary: The Application Support Analyst is responsible for exercising knowledge and understanding of business-critical systems, determine an understanding of the software designed, and introduce support initiatives. This position will perform in a hybrid working environment with time spent both remote, as well as on site.

Essential Job Functions:

• Resolve incidents, service requests and problems for our internally developed business systems in a timely and efficient manner in line with business requirements.
• Employ appropriate application maintenance, support, and incident management processes and procedures to support and maintain IT applications, and to investigate and resolve incidents.
• As required, provide timely communication to users on the status of their service requests and incidents.
• As necessary, liaise with third-party suppliers to ensure business systems-related incidents and problems are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure problem prevention methods are continually applied to improve service levels and reduce costs.
• Undertake problem diagnosis, implement problem resolution and be able to put in place prevention measures as appropriate.
• Prioritize and schedule assigned support activities and tasks, and work in conjunction with our in-house development team to manage resource.
• Maintain technical documentation for our business systems team, and through a combination of documentation, play a key role in educating and working with 1st and 2nd line support in order to streamline the life cycle of a software development incident.
• Other duties as assigned
• Responsible for attending on-site work during normal business hours, in the typical work week, as well as extra time as needed to fulfill job duties
• Ensure all aspects of company policy and procedures in regard to good business and department practices are followed

Qualifications:

• Ability to think creatively and apply previous experience to new problems
• Able to identify and correct errors, and learn from mistakes to prevent any future reoccurrence
• Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
• A demonstrated ability to work with teams to design, implement, and support application and database systems
• Adheres to policies, procedures and standards as set forth by Corporate and/or the Information Services Department
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals daily
• Knowledge of T-SQL and PL/SQL is preferred
• Previous experience in an Application Support role is a plus
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus
