Vitamin World is looking for an Area Manager based out of our retail store located at Deerbrook Mall in Humble, TX.
Essential Functions:
- Focus with the objective of achieving and exceeding financial plans for the district.
- Reinforce performance standards to maximize sales opportunities and customer service.
- Create and execute a strategy to recruit, hire and develop managers who achieve established goals and have a passion for nutrition, health, and sales
- Empower managers to utilize, understand and interpret corporate reports.
- Develop and execute a succession plan to ensure stores are fully staffed with passionate associates.
- Encourage training development within the district to provide high-level customer service.
- Analyze marketing opportunities and recommend locations to open new stores.
- Coordinate new store openings and/or closings of existing locations.
- Analyze business to identify opportunities and develop a plan of action to meet those opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store visits and audits.
- Develop and execute plan for store visits and audits on timely basis.
- Ensure clear expectations are established utilizing available communications tools.
- Validate performance of district, stores and individuals by conducting Monthly Business Reviews and establishing clear specific strategies to improve performance.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures and that the total store merchandising presentation is at standard in all stores.
- Solve problems that affect the stores service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Foster a pleasant work environment for all associates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of three years retail multi-unit management experience
- Comprehend financial reports and develop strategy to enhance sales
- Candidates must have the ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, follow-through, and problem-solving skills
- Effectively communicate written and verbally and provide instruction to all associates
- Ability to assess talent, coach, develops and manages performance
- Candidates must have passion for health, nutrition, fitness and helping others
- Must have the availability to travel
- Valid Driver’s License required
