Artisan Bread Baker

Cunningham's Bakery in Towson is looking a to add an overnight baker to our team!

The Overnight Bread Baker is responsible for the preparation of high quality bread in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner. The Baker must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively.

The Baker is responsible for but not limited to: carrying out request from Head Baker and Pastry Chef and assisting the bakery team in all aspects of production. This includes mixing, forming, baking and finishing a variety of from scratch hearth breads, rolls and other baked goods.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for daily preparation of scratch bread items as directed by management
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the bakery for mixing, forming, baking and finishing a variety of from scratch hearth breads, rolls and other baked goods.
• Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
• Assists in the daily cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-ins and storage areas
• Clean and properly break down station at the end of every shift, minimizing waste and adhering to sanitation guidelines
• Know and comply with all bakery/kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Performs any other duties assigned
• Maintain a positive attitude that is conducive to teamwork and a positive work environment

Job Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have scratch bakery experience. Novices who can demonstrate a keen interest in acquiring top-flight bread baking skills, a superb work ethic, and a proven record of accomplishment in other fields will also be considered.

• Must be willing and able to work the overnight shift
• Minimum of 1 year industry baking experience
• Scratch baking experience preferred
• Knowledge of classic baking techniques

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
