Job description

We are looking to hire an Assistant Brewer to help with the process. The Assistant Brewer will assist with wort production, cellar work, packaging, cleaning, and managing inventory. They’ll work with the Head Brewer to ensure consistent quality across all of our brands.

Responsibilities:

- Assisting with all aspects of wort production

- Performing CIP on fermenting tanks, brite tanks, and brewhouse

- Racking beer from fermenters to brite tanks

- Keeping the facility clean and functional

- Performing any necessary maintenance, including equipment inspection

- Participating in beer tasting to monitor quality and consistency

- Assisting with the packaging of beer into cans and kegs

- Completing accurate paperwork as needed (i.e., cellar logs)

- Monitoring fermentation and taking the appropriate steps throughout the process

- Keeping track of inventory and alerting appropriate parties when running low on raw materials

Necessary Skills & Qualifications

- 1+ years of experience in a production environment

- Attention to detail

- Team player and ability to work with the head brewer to further company goals

- Excellent verbal communication skills

- Superior knowledge of the beer industry, including trends, brewery technology, and brewing processes

- Ability to lift 55 pounds repeatedly and up to 165 pounds as needed

- High school diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
