Assistant Director Home Care – LCSW
85 to 90k
Boston – hybrid schedule
This is a perm role where you will work three days remote and two days on site in Boston. People management is key.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and strategies to improve current services as well as developing and managing a supportive quality assurance program.
Directs and manage assigned program operations with overall responsibilities for the outcomes of assigned direct service programs. This individual must be a leader who is able to help his/her staff reach their program goals and compliance requirements. The incumbent must be able to foster and maintain a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented professionals.
Developing and implementing policies and strategies to improve current services as well as developing and managing a supportive quality assurance program and systems for tracking strategic planning implementation.
Essential Functions:
- Manage assigned direct service programs and activities and provide supervision for direct service management.
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise and actively collaborate in the development and implementation of agency programs (including proposal development, recruitment, resource management, partner engagement, quality assurance, reporting, and post-implementation review)
- Foster a high-performance culture characterized by service leadership, collaboration and transparency that result in strong team morale, effective talent utilization, and partnership across programs.
- Ensure agency compliance with ASAP Program mandates and directives and guide efforts to adjust to changes that impact operations.
- Ensure agency compliance with Home Care, MassHealth and EOEA mandates and directives.
- Identify opportunities for organization to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges.
- Lead, coach, develop, and retain company’s high-performance middle management team with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis and planning and program budgeting.
- Supervise ASAP direct service training program and set agenda with the Organizational Development Manager.
- Support a vital, agency wide quality assurance program that is dedicated to the ongoing review of agency policies and practices that reflect the central goal of serving frail elders.
- Assume a leadership role in agency, hospitals partnerships, community meetings, committees, and task forces.
- Manage and cultivate existing relationships with agency vendors and ensure vendor compliance is met in conjunction with the Contracts Manager/Coordinator and QA Officer.
- Provide programmatic leadership and training to accomplish the agency goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan implementation while coaching program directors as they implement the strategic plan and transition program operations.
Competencies:
- Strong supervisory, coaching and leadership skills with an ability to develop personnel as well as manage programs and institutionalize regulatory compliance throughout each program.
- Flexibility in adjusting to an evolving job role and change management.
- Ability to develop innovative programs that respond to the current needs of the health care environment pertaining to older adults and individuals with disabilities.
- Financial management, program budgeting and quantitative skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
Required Education and Experience:
- Master’s degrees in social work
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required
- Five - Seven years’ experience in a key leadership role and/or equivalent experience in a leadership role
- Exposure with managing a union environment a plus.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
