Position Description
Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained.
Major/Essential Functions
As assistant director of marketing for TTU K-12, you will regularly seek out research-based opportunities for marketing the programs available in Texas Tech University K-12. Additionally, you will work closely with the Superintendent of TTU K-12, the Vice Provost for eLearning & Academic Partnerships, the Senior Director of Academic Communications and the Director of Communications and Marketing for Texas Tech Online to assess best practices, inform additional strategy, and develop systems for paid and organic marketing tactics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

- Lead implementation paid and organic marketing strategies for TTU K-12.
- Write and direct digital and traditional marketing plans for TTU K-12 including but not limited to paid advertising, social media and digital to achieve stated goals.
- Possibly supervise student/graduate assistant and interns providing clear direction and mentorship.
- Create policies, procedures or offer best practices in utilizing digital marketing platforms for academic programs.
- Working knowledge of public education and/or online learning. Marketing experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both external and internal audiences.
Required Qualifications
