Job description
Baker University seeks qualified applicants to fill an Assistant Director of Admissions – Transfer Students vacancy.
The Assistant Director of Admissions - Transfer Students will serve a key role within the Office of Admissions by providing leadership and guidance in meeting the university’s transfer student recruitment goals along with building partnerships with Community Colleges. This role is vital to the success of achieving enrollment goals within the College of Arts and Sciences at Baker University.
A Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5 years admissions or related experience is required; Masters preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to think critically and make reasonable decisions, be a capable writer and public speaker, and possess strong interpersonal skills. They will also have a commitment to participation in a team atmosphere and the ability to articulate clearly and concisely both in public and on the telephone. Commitment to liberal arts education in a private, church-related setting is required. The successful candidate must have the ability to travel on an “as-needed” basis during the Fall and Spring semesters and be able to work irregular hours as needed including evenings and weekends. The individual in this position must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel as much as 300 miles in one day and be able to carry up to 30 lbs. for distances up to 500 feet.
