Adams County Manor, West Union Ohio is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing/RN . ACM is a highly rated 76 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. We pride ourselves our home-like environment and family friendly atmosphere.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Oversight of the nursing department ensuring proper care delivered to patients and residents.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Attending PDPM, UR, QAPI, QA, Dept Head, safety, and staff meetings (nursing and IDT meetings to discuss changes or behaviors) as well as in-services.
• Work with HR to maintain employee personnel and health files to ensure compliance. Update and maintain TB logs, orientation process, competency completion etc…
• Scheduling of Nurse Aides and Aide assignment sheets
• Works with DON to create training program for STNA and nurses and implements
• Keep Nurse Aides record of Attendance with regards to payroll and monitoring as well as changes in the schedule
• Responsible for Nurse and STNA interviews and selection of new staff
• 90 day and annual evaluations for nurses and STNA. Maintain list for all departments of evals needed
• Keep NAR forms updated with all new hires or terms
• Keep Hepatitis B Vaccines, TB, and titer records
• Update employee status sheets for staff when changes occur. Send to HR.
• Assist in the development of Facilities Nursing Policies
• Re-Admit and 14 Day Audits
• Administrative feedings when necessary
• Covers DON vacation and sick days
• Rotates with DON to cover nursing call-offs
• Keeps monthly track of any trends in resident falls
• Administrative feedings to residents when necessary
• Assist with 802 and 672’s on a regular basis
• Work with DON to address Corrective Action/Progressive Discipline plan for Nursing department
• Perform 90 days and annual evaluations for Nursing employees and keep copies in personnel files at the facility and main office
• Employee Flu Tracking
• Work with DON to develop annual in-service plan and implement
• Conduct weekly fall meetings
• Monitor Calibration Management of Nursing items (glucose, call system, temperature logs)
• Follow up on Dietary recommendations in a timely manner (72 hours)
• Track and monitor dietary data from a nursing perspective
• Attend UR meetings

OTHER DUTIES: As assigned by the DON and/or Administrator

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,500.00 - $75,000.00 per year
